KEY TECHNOLOGICAL INNOVATIONS THAT'LL DETERMINE THE FUTURE OF TECHNOLOGY GOING FORWARD

Although we might've already seen it happening - intelligent automation - shortly, humans won't need to lift a finger to send messages or take pictures, at least not with phones, but with our memory. That's how fast technology is advancing.

As of 2019, neuroscientists have designed a device that can transform brain signals into speech; however still not accurate for use in recent times.

It's only time before artificial intelligence - a simulation of human intelligence by computers - can fully synthesize whole sentences into intelligible and understandable sentences for all who speak that language - this begs the question, what's intelligent automation, and how does it relate to us sending messages with our brain?

To put it simply; automation is diverse technology that reduces human intervention in processes, like us not needing; to type to send messages, drive a car, operate machinery, thermostats setting a room temperature based on our body temperature, and the list goes on.

Intelligent automation uses robotic process automation, AI, analytics, optical character recognition, intelligent character recognition, and process mining to create automated machines capable of thinking, learning, and adapting independently.

Intelligent automation works based on decisions, relationships with, and actions by; humans, then combining all of those to create machines that support full and intelligent automation.

In 2019 a report by The World Bank showed that emerging industries and jobs in the tech sector outweigh the economic effect of automation displacing workers.

All this talk about automation aforementioned leads to the fourth Industrial revolution.

The Fourth Industrial Revolution

The Fourth Industrial Revolution or Industry 4.0 is a scientific literature concept involving a fast change in technology and related society. And this applies to a massive increase in connectivity among humans and intelligent automation, as stated before.

The fourth industrial revolution was mentioned in 2015 by Klaus Schwab, the World Economic Forum Founder, and Executive Chairman.

A critical stage of another industrial revolution involves the use of AI, gene editing, and robots to create a new type of world that's both digital, physical, and at the same time biological - more like living in a digital world like virtual reality.

Still, it is being able to feel physical objects like in the real world and transform them into any biological being with physical and biological attributes.

Conclusion

Technology is fast advancing and changing as each day passes; it continues to solve real-life pressing problems and change how we live.

A recent research report shows that with time, technology can aid in people living much longer than the average life expectancy, at least 150 years; this begs the question, “what key technological innovations will determine the future of technology going forward.”
